Is the bandwidth really unmetered?
Yes—no caps, no hidden throttling. You get dedicated Gbps speeds with consistent performance, even during peak hours. We back that with proper monitoring, transparent usage stats, adequate network equipment and suitable peering contracts.
Why is your unmetered VPS hosting only available in European locations?
Because our EU data centers are directly connected to high-capacity global backbones. Many other regions are too localized and can’t support sustained high-throughput without peering limits or traffic shaping.
The EU region offers an ideal balance: favorable bandwidth pricing, excellent route coverage, and low latency to major regions. This lets us provide true unmetered bandwidth without compromise.
Why Speedtest.net doesn't show my full port speed?
Speedtest.net is designed to test last-mile consumer connections and often hits limitations before reaching your full port speed—especially with 2 Gbps, 5 Gbps, or 10 Gbps ports. To accurately test performance, use command-line tools like iperf3 orYABS to properly test our infrastructure.
Does network latency affect port speed?
Yes, latency can significantly reduce effective speed—especially for TCP traffic. While your VPS may have a high port speed (e.g. 1 Gbps), actual throughput is limited by latency and protocol behavior.
There’s no one-size-fits-all formula, but for TCP, a good approximation is:
Throughput ≈ TCP Window Size / RTT
For example, with a 64 KB window and 100 ms latency:
Throughput ≈ 524,288 bits / 0.1 sec ≈ 5.24 Mbps
The higher the latency (RTT), the lower the max throughput—unless the TCP window is scaled up.
In real-world terms:
- Long distances or unstable routes increase latency
- Latency especially impacts chatty protocols or upload-heavy tasks
- UDP or optimized protocols (QUIC, SRT) help bypass some TCP limits
So while port speed defines capacity, latency—and location—shape real performance.
How does burstable port work?
Your VPS comes with full access to a 25 Gbps port speed for burstable data use, depending on your plan.
Once you use up your burstable data, your connection will automatically switch to the unmetered bandwidth port speed included in your unmetered VPX plan.
The burstable data limit resets every month.
