How to change your server IP address (-es).

If you are going to change IP address(-es) of your server, this manual will help you.

In order to prevent any VPS service interruptions, you need to change the main server IP address and IP addresses for the domains hosted on additional IPs if any.

To change the main IP address of your VPS server you need to log into SolusVM control panel, go to the Network Tab of VPS Controls Frame and click “Set as Main IP Address” button to the left of the new IP address.

If you use cPanel/WHM please use the following instructions:

If you use DirectAdmin please use the instructions below:

If you use ISPmanager please use the instructions below:

If you use Webuzo please use the instructions below:

In case you do not use any Control Panel you need to change IP address for all applications and services installed on your VPS server.

The private name servers (NS) used for the domain names hosted on your VPS server also should be updated with the new IP addresses, both on the server (see instructions above) and on your registrar side.

The DNS propagation may take up to 72 hours as the records should be updated worldwide. However, this process usually takes less.
